New study on spoiler etiquette: [SPOILER REDACTED]

Heh…in the latest hilarious example of the havoc social media hysteria has wreaked on our scientific research priorities, TiVo just conducted a thorough and groundbreaking study on spoiler etiquette. Specifically, the study asks how long is the proper waiting interval before it’s considered allowable to discuss material identifying plot points in a TV show, movie, etc. in a public forum?

Out of common courtesy, I’ve left the key points until after the break…

“Neighbors:” accessory to mass murder?

Saw the movie. Now stop me before I kill again.

Following is a passage from a column by the Washington Post’s Ann Hornaday, on what she thinks drove Elliot Rodger’s murder spree:

How many students watch outsized frat-boy fantasies like ‘Neighbors’ and feel, as Rodger did, unjustly shut out of college life that should be full of ‘sex and fun and pleasure?’ How many men, raised on a steady diet of Judd Apatow comedies in which the shlubby arrested adolescent always gets the girl, find that those happy endings constantly elude them and conclude, ‘It’s not fair?’

Seems Ann Hornaday is a contemptible joke of a film critic/analyst, and generally a twit who thinks movies crank out mass-murderers.  As for the substance of her theory:  oh, where to begin?  (WARNING: Spoilers ahead.)
